So, I am in KC for work this week so of course I have visited the Bass Pro Shops in the area and stopped by the KC Cabelas today. Turns out there isn’t a huge demand for ice fishing gear, go figure. While in the Bargain Cave I managed to snap up a Marcum LX-i for $44 bucks and its case for another $4. I also got the Cabelas cover for my big buddy heater for $9. So, the moral of the story is to shop for ice fishing gear as far south as possible.

That’s a great deal on the LX-i. It’s a nifty little unit to have in your arsenal too!
I saw that LXi about 2 months ago and it was not under $200. I should have said something to them, usually when I am interested in something in the Bargain Cave I ask them what they can do about the price. As a matter of fact the last time I was in there I asked about a wide side transducer for my Humminbird 777 and got it for a little over $40.
$45 for a LXi is none the less an excellent deal…
56twister, or anyone close for that matter, there was still a LX-i out of its package (used maybe?) for the same price and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another case laying around the pile I was digging through.
