So I have a regular vector 70 lb transom motor that I forgot was still in the water when I took off with the big motor. Needless to say part of the bracket broke and now I need to replace it. My question is how can I remove the piece that surrounds the shaft. Also, any idea where I could find an old broken trolling motor to get the bracket off of for cheap?!?!?

    Thanks

If it is at all like the minnkotas, I think the whole thing has to come apart…..I took mine to the motor clinic in bloomington…

Cheapist way to do this is to call minnkota and order only the part you need, and do the work yourself, let me know what year the motor is, I’ll see if I can help you a little more, pm me you email adderess.
