“Carradine was found Thursday hanged in his luxury hotel room in Bangkok and is believed to have committed suicide. “

Disapointed. I thought he was better than that.

Suicide, in many cultures/countries is not looked down upon as it is here in the US.

I liked the work he did recenly on Wild West Tech. Pretty cool stuff!

Well, since he is from the US I dont see any justification.
We will eventually get details but if he offed himself, that aint cool. Maybe it was the auto eroticy thing?
I could cut him a little slack if it is.

Personally, I look at it this way. We are all headed for the same end result some day. Like it or not, today you are one day closer to your death. If you are an adult and want to speed up that timeline, that is up to you.

It very well could have been the erotica thing. Being in Bangkok, sex capitol of the world and all…

Wasn’t it his brother who did Wild West Tech?

After dealing with the devastating effects on family members I’d say it was the ultimate act of selfishness… JMHO…

One major point to mention here is that depression can be a killer disease……
If you have never experienced it, deep depression can be just as debilitating as cancer or a heart condition…..

Judge not until you’ve been there…..

I know off topic, but a friend of mine did this a month or so ago. He had been planning summer camping trips with his wife and friends on Sunday. Went home on Monday morning from work and shot himself. No note, nothing. Top it off, his wife had to come home to find him in that state in their house where they raised their family. He was super father and always in a good mood. Nobody has a clue why. Pretty darn cowardly if you ask me. Now instead of remembering what a wonderful person he was, we are left to wonder what was so bad that he would do this.

Who know’s why he did it? Too bad it gets to that, but as an old friend of mine is fond of saying “there’s plenty more lice on the scalp”.

I just read on abc news he was found naked hanging in the closet. I am guessing he did the same thing as the lead singer from INXS.

Mudshark is right, depression is bad news. Currenly I am termanly ill. Got sick a little over a year ago while fishing the Rainy river in October, have a nasty disease that there is no cure for. Can’t fish any longer ( that’s tough) but have no plans to off myself, I’m hoping stemcell can help me somehow.

As much as I don’t like hearing news like this you have it right on Jon Jordan I see it pretty much the same way, and I ever reach the point in my life when I’m unable to do the things I love or am just unhappy, I would really consider it then but only then. For these reasons, 1. If that point in life does come I wanna go out with a bang my own way on my own terms, not from some illness or something that might be painful! 2. I’ll be damned if I’ll be that old crabby [censored] that needs someone to help me with everything and just sits around making everyone around me miserable while I wait to die, NO WAY BUD NOT ME!!!

That is terrible news!! I wish you the best!
Depression and suicide is running rampant in the Military now as well. This is a tough time for a lot of people right now. Some days it is darn tough to pull yourself up by the bootstraps!

    Pretty morbid subject today.

That said the instructor from St. Cloud did it right. Went to the mountains and disappeared.

My prayers to any family that has to deal with something like this.

Thats exactly right Chris, sometimes tramatic events happen and keep happening and its entirely overwhelming and alot of times its hard for others to see. Serious depression hits deep and its hard to shake and the frame of mind it causes completely rules your frame of mind. Its makes you very week and is completely exhausting to the mind and body so the self defense ability is at its least. People get so tired mentally and physically from the effects they want it to stop and they see suicide as thier only way out to comfort. Hopefully loved ones or a specialist san see whats happening and medical help can interviene. Serious depression, not anxiety is a bad deal.

From everything I have read, David had no reason for suicide. I’ll bet when this is all said and done, just another case of Auto-erotic asphyxiation.

We see about one of these a month. Death claim (for life insurance) for suicide is declined, them comes back as accidental death. Seems families are more comfortable thinking dad died of suicide rather than jacking off while choking himself to near death.

There was also a murder charge dropped recently here in St Paul where 2 gay men were helping each other perform the autoerotic asphyxiation. One died. Both were married. The surviving gay got caught trying to discard the body. Did not want to face reality….

Reminds me of the plastic surgeon that hung himself! Although I am not sure of his sexual proclivity, he reportedly was very happy with the result!
