blueberry lake… bearhead st park

    anyone have info on this lake?? goin up over the 4th of july. never fished looking for tips???

    Unless you are looking for solitude or like the smell of cedars, don’t waste your time. The portage stinks, and the fishing is worse…it’s been stocked with walleye but I don’t know anyone, including me, who’s ever caught one of them. Shallow and small. If I were you I would focus on the nice crappies in Eagles Nest Lake. If you are interested in really nice brookies send me a PM and I’ll give ya the scoop on a lake not too far away! Also, Blueberry Lake is very appropriately named if you are there in July/August.

    Thanks… I kinda figured as much… I have fished eagles nest and beare island lake found some decent smallmies in both, just never been on blueberry, but i’m camping with friends on that lake. not by my choice
