I came home and my wifes trying to learn what does what on the PC here at the house. The standard size print is bigger on everything and this is what happens when I click on start. I click start and it brings up a box with search, run, my computer etc. like befor. Its also brings up (programs) like it did befor but when I click on that to get a list, like we had befor, the list dosen’t come up, this is the way she accesses some of her game sites etc. it dosen’t come up, theres no list. Can anyone explain how to get my pc back to where it was this morning, thanks in advance.

    Here`s what you do.
Click on start, then click on programs, then click on accessories, then click on system tools, then click on system restore, then click on restore my computer to an earlier time. Then pick a time before she messed it up.This should help you.

Man did I mess things up and I think I wiped out everything I’ve saved since I bought my PC. No pictures, nothing I’ve saved in the past. Anyone have any idea how too get all those things back if I can. System restore only goes back to this morning and no further. Got any solutions? thanks

i bet you didnt set a restore point, and the place you bought it from set one after it loaded all the software you purchased.

i dont know if theres an ‘undo restore’ option (im thinking you’re screwed). next time get things how you want it and create a restore point. just remember that restoring your computer wont always remove the virus, adware, etc that you are frustrated with. sometimes all you can do is wipe the HD and start over. thats where creating a backup disk is extremely helpful. then you can wipe your HD, throw in the backup disc and you will start fresh from the second you backed everything up.

Sorry about all your troubles bud…
Sounds like you went too far back …
You might be able to take your HD to someone who can retrieve some of your lost stuff…..

Have whoever fixes it(or trys to) to set it to create a restore point every 3 days or so….Then restore only back that far….

    Good luck guy
