Sis is planning a week of camping and fishing in the DL, FF area in July. Camping/tent on a decent fishing lake, species doesn’t matter as long as the kids can catch some fish. I see Glendalough State park? They’re thinking Otter Tail/ West Battle area. Boat rental in the area is a must, preferably on the lake they’re camping on.
I’ve forwarded the local Chamber of Commerce addresses to her for starters but there is no better source of this type info than here.

Two lakes with camping spots that I have stayed at before. Little east of what your talking about. Iowana Beach Resort on Portage Lake and Moose Lake Resort or Paradise Reort on Moose Lake (Beltrami). Hope this helps.

Glendalough is right on Annie Battle and the state park rents out canoes, row boats and such. This is a no motorized lake, no electronics, etc.. Great fishing though and the kids will have a blast. There is also lots of swimming beaches on Annie and Molly Stark lakes.
Some resorts rent boats on other lakes if you feel the need to explore.
