I caught this little guy on the Minnesota River this morning. At first I assumed it was a little pike, but I noticed some red on its tail, the lines were going vertical, and the face had a metallic type color to it. Kinda made me think it might be a Muskie but just thought I would check and see what everyone else thinks. Thanks!

I concur, tiger musky. I have caught some fishing on lake tainter that are in the 20 inch range that look like that.

Round caudals and spotted tailMay 25, 2009 at 2:03 am #778974Thanks everyone for your input, I am convinced that it is a Tiger Muskie. Not exactly what I had in mind for the size of my first Muskie, but hey at least I caught one Thanks again!
