How well do you know your states?

Try this one out. 45 out of 50 for me, average error of about 50 miles. The border states are easy, it’s the ones in the middle early in the game that get you.

One for the kids…..or adults. ))

    MAP OF USA WOW…!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder how a high school senior would do on
this one. See how you do in placing the states of the
    United States of America .

All you do is look at the top of the page and
    drag’n’drop the state where it
belongs.[Smart map, varies the order of
the states’ placement with each new try!

It isn’t easy [mostly because placing a
state in the precise location when it as
yet has no boundaries in place is a bit tricky!
No half credit for close but over a tad….

I did about as good as you did…the eastern states got me the most. 5th graders excel in this as they study the States and Capitals…
High schoolers may do poorly as after 5th grade there is little importance placed on US geography in the cirriculum these days.

It really changes the sequence every time. First time it gave me a lot of outer states first which really helped my score when compared to my second try…..first try 88% with an average error of 18 miles….won’t even post my second try…

49 out of 50 with average error of 7 miles. The second one I got was Kansas and i was a little off east/west. Tough to get the middle ones correct with no reference.

I got 44, Delaware and believe it or not I dropped Wyoming over Montana and I knew where both states were, the others I knew where they were just didn’t have the borders right.

46, and an avg error of 8 miles. Tough when the first few states are inland.

46/50, 92%, avg error 20mi, 267 seconds. I also dropped Wyoming over Montana…..even though I know exactly where they go. Sometimes you take the easy ones for granted and mess up!
Good way to get the brain warmed up!

Colorado, no reference points and Tennessee again no reference points, got them in the right places, just off by more than the tolerance. I did this with my nephews around the campfire a couple labor days ago. They thought I was nuts, but they did play along. We just started with Maine and worked our way west. Now capitals, that might be interesting, I don’t think I remember those quite as well.

Those middle states, I missed Tenn. again by just a smidge, enough. Great fun, though.

You should have sent me a PM
Kansas is 200 miles from north to south and 400 miles east to west and you were off by 350 miles, that is a whole state. Really though 49 out of 50 is very good, it took me 2 times of playing the game to get 49, Kentucky was my down fall I think it was the fourth one I got. The first time I did it Delaware was my first state and the north east really messed with me. My first score was 45 of 50…

    Thanks Cougareye that was fun

48 out of 50, 4 miles off average. Got Wyoming at the begining which is what screwed me up. Very cool game.
