    Gentlemen,
I was wondering if anyone could help. I have been interested for quite some time in becoming a co-angler on the FLW tour. How would I go about this? Any advice would be nice. I do have references if needed:) Thanks!

All you have to do is have the money to sign up. You just need to go to flwoutdoors.com find the event you want to fish, and register as a co-angler. The next thing is hoping to get in.

    Good Luck

You can also post this in the “Tournament” Forum and ask if there are any “Boaters” that would like to sign up with a co-angler assuring them and you of a spot.

So I have been confused about this.

Even though there is a waiting list for co-anglers that is randomly assigned to boaters. If you as a co-angler can find a boater to team up with you, that co-angler that already has a boater is in ahead of the random waiting list?

Yes. Because he is bringing a boater with him.

Otherwise the boater will be assigned the first co-angler on the waiting list.

Typically there is a priority deadline for “guaranteed status” with a boater/co-angler….After that – everyone gets put into the “pool”.

I’m speaking from the bass side, i’m assuming FLW runs the walleye side basically the same.

Good Luck – you’ll have fun.

The deadline for the guaranteed boater and co-angler option for the Tour has already passed for this season. I believe you can still sign up for a guarantee for some of the tournaments on the League side. I’ve fished the League as a co for two years and now I’m doing the Tour. Its a blast and I would recommend it to anyone.

To prevent any confusion, the pairings in the tournament are always random whether you sign up with a boater or not.

OK, Confusion on that statement? Each time you go as a Co-angler, you are randomly given a Pro partner?
So there is no, dedicated Partner / Co-angler per say. IF I go as a Pro, and my Dad wants to join as my Co-angler? that is not possible ?

It only gets you in ( pro & am ) but does not guarantee you will fish together. If you wanna fish with you dad sign up with AIM for their new weekend series.
