I really enjoy his show and this is some sad news:

    From Sport Fishing magazine

On his way to Alaska to tape his TV show, Tred Barta recently suffered a rare occurrence called a spinal stroke. He is currently paralyzed from just below the chest down. Prognosis is way up in the air at the moment. His message to everyone is… “Don’t take a single second of your life for granted.” Send him best wishes at [email protected]. />

A good buddy of my bro-in-law had this happen. It is every bit as debilitating as a brain stroke. He no doubt will have to learn to walk all over again if ever at all.
I like his show too! Best wishes to him!

That’s horrible news. I enjoy his show when I get to watch it.

Hopefully he’ll have a speedy recovery.

Ever see the one where he was hunting geese……..with a bow and arrow! Trying to wingshoot them with a recurve. It was nuts. he never did hit one

He often never hits anything with that ‘Ol recurve! That’s what makes it so much fun! You want to wait and see if he got anything! I like the one where he shoots a doe, and at the end of the show, he throws it over his shoulders and walks off into the sunset…Or fishing for sailfish out of a kayak…He is one of a kind for sure!

Very sad news indeed, i loved his show. Anyone catch the episode he went hog hunting w/ a knife!! Always good for a few misses and lots of laughs.

Isn’t that the one where he used those arrows with the flu flu feathers so he could retrieve them to shoot again. I also don’t think he was using broadheads because he didn’t want his dog to cut himself if he was retrieving one of the geese.

I think he also got a pheasant with the flu-flu arrows… after many attempts. Also loved the muley doe, with stick bow and stalking…. really like where he gets his cover scent for deerhunting…. grab some dirt out of a fresh scrape and rub it on yourself, including your face…. Hope he recovers fully.

Tread is a straight up no BS kind of guy and great for our sport…I also love his honesty and humility (he actually films misses and screw ups!)
I am sick of seeing liver shots on bowhunting TV rags… then they brag all over themselves and find the deer two days later and act like it was a couple hours ago…
