50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water in a spray bottle, wipe with a soft cotton cloth.

I’ve never had any problem just using water and a cotton towel.

Yep, vinegar/water and Windex has worked fine.

I found that after you get the spots off, add RainX to the screen and it really helps keep the spots to a minimum.

This is from the Humminbird FAQ page:

What products can be used to clean my display?
Humminbird recommends using Windex® Vinegar Multi Surface(in the spray bottle). Do NOT use any wipes products (which are can also be available as Windex Multi-Task).

The lens contains a special coating which improves visibility. It is recommend to use the above cleaner because we have tested and proved this cleaner. It does not deteriorate the coatings on the lens.

Pretty sure you want to avoid ammonia, some windex can have it in there, usually it’s labeled. I’ve used Stoners invisable glass, and it cleaned them like new, I assume since Stoners is tint safe it’s ok, thus far no issues other than a really clean screen.

cool… thanks, guys. I just picked up two new Lowrance 510c’s and wanted to treat them right. They seem to be great units and the color screen was a nice upgrade.

I second that. I use vineagar and water to clean my boat and my locators and it works great.

Too funny. Both Humminbird and Windex are SC Johnson companies I’m sure the Windex Vinegar works and all, but so does water and vinegar.
