My wife and I are going to Canada in early June, We are going to stay in Duluth/Superior for one night. Can any one tell me of a good clean Motel where you could park your boat without getting ripped off.

Three years running now I’ve stayed at the Casino in Grand Portage. Boat has been left alone. Reeeeeeally hate leaving the boat and truck load of stuff sitting out there but I’m not ready to sleep in the boat yet. Cross the fingers and this year will make four uneventful overnights. Good luck on the Canadian ponds.

Can’t help you specifically, but I were to do this, I’d find myself a motel, where I can park outside and I’d be running some Baby moniters inside the boat so I could hear if anything was going on out there.

I never would have thought of that.

If your interested in a strip motel this might work for you. I have stayed here a couple times. Decent place, nice owners, nothing fancy, (bed, shower, TV) very reasonable and there is a nice place to eat just down the road to the East. It’s just S. of Superior on HWY 2. There is plenty of room to park the boat out back out of sight. Sleepy Hollow Motel 715-398-6989
