I have an outside dog that’s getting older and the wood interior of his doghouse is really starting to wear on his body.

I’ve tried a lot of different liners from old carpeting to straw to wood chips to foam and he just tears everything up and we’re back to square one.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

Stay out of trouble so you don’t have to sleep in it?!

    Sorry couldn’t resist!

Our dog really likes our queen sized bed, even more since we put a pillow top on it.

I think the dog is telling you what it likes and it looks like the wood floor with everything you have tried.

Have you tried some old comforters, blankets or sleeping bag?

Yes, I’ve tried blankets and they get ripped up too. I thought about putting down some counter top type material but that may be cold in the winter. I’m thinking some nice heavy duty rubber would work but it’s probably expensive or hard to get…

If you find something that works, let me know. Have same problem, but dog is still young enough to not feel too sorry for him.

i’m using a semi mud flap with the lettering down. you could probably use a rubber tail gate protector too. cut it with a sawzall
