    When did they get outlawed?

IDo promotes selective harvest and catch and release…personally I think it would be a disservice if Ido were to ban stringer photos like some sites do.

People take fish home in the real world. Good question though!

By the look on the little ones face in the background she seems pretty happy not to see a stringer also. Sorry guys just had to get one in! Have a great one!

Doesn’t sunrise me to see a lot of kept fish right now. The seasons been closed for a on walleyes and people are hungry for fresh fish. Give it about a month and people will start to get there fill and the stringers will go away. For those of you that are practicing selective harvest good job keeping those big walleyes off the stringers.

One of the things that seperates walleye guys from bass guys is that us walleye guys respect our resource but we have no problem with keeping a mess of eaters for the table. I am a firm believer in selective harvest and respect the fish but I have absolutely no problem with someone keeping some fish for the table. We need to unite as fishermen for the good of the resource and not divide ourselves on the small issues. I think alot of us started out keeping alot of fish and as we got more into the sport we have evolved into being more selective but need to realize not everyone is at the same point. Show me a stringer of walleye and I’ll give you a “wow, good job” and then maybe a ” I have found that those 15 and 16 inchers fry up about perfect”. Plant the seed and see what happens

Here,s one reason for stringers. (Vhs) Its a lot easier to keep a few on a stringer then to have to clean your livewell every trip.

I can’t agree more! Nothing better than fresh walleyes. Most of the fish that were put on my stringer were given to neighbors and the elderly that don’t have the means or the time to go fishing. We did release a few over 20 inches. When the water gets warmer and the quality of fish start to deminish I put away my stringer.
