OK heres one for you. I was driving in Roch.yesterday and saw someone sitting near an exit. The man was well groomed and appeared to be healthy. He was well dressed including a carhart jacket that I have been wishing i could afford. he was holding a sign that stated “homeless and hungry any amount will help” At the very next exit there was a large sandwich board with a sign stating HELP WANTED and a phone no.I very much wanted to take the sign back to the gentleman and tell him his troubles were over but my wife outvoted me

I saw the same type of thing in town the other day. The couple were holding a sign “starving artists needs a pizza”. I was going to help them by saying if they would stop spending so much on tattoos and piercings they could afford a pizza!

I’ve seen them dudes in Rochester before too. Makes me wonder. Can anybody just panhandle anywhere like that? I thought there was some sort of law against it. More and more of them turning up in the N.W. area too.

What kills me, is a gentleman i know runs a church. He stopped and offered a guy a job at his church, and the guy said “I can’t go with you I make too much doing this”.

I saw a man and wife, with a dog, doing this in Brainerd a few years back. They pulled the dog in a wagon down the street asking for handouts and for food for the dog. At the end of the day we saw them walking back to a park where they proceeded to climb into a nice motorhome.

    Makes you wonder.

If I remember right one of the metro news channels did a story a year or so ago. They filmed a couple “working” an intersection. When they finished for they day they got into a fairly new mini van and drove to a nice house in the burbs. I guess they do all right with all of that tax free income.
