I tear all my baitcasters down and be careful to put the parts in the order you took them off. Wipe as much of the factory grease off as you can. Get some quantum hot sauce and put it all the moving parts, gears, cranks etc. At the end of the year or in the spring tear it all down again and wash it with hot soapy water. Then reapply the hot sauce again. hopefully this helps, Dan

    Welcome to IDO lukewmtdew!

Don’t forget to back off the drag when you’re not using it. Makes them last longer.

I have a tooth brush that I use just for cleaning my 7000’s and I always put it back in the bathroom for the FW when I’m finished.
