Knots for Drift socks

    What do you guys think is the best knot to tie to a drift sock?

    tie off onto the boat? I have always just wrapped the rope around a cleat

    No, tying onto the drift sock itself, I’m thinking bowline.

    Can’t go wrong with the end of the line bowline, just leave the tag end long enough to tie an overhand stopper knot.
