hello all, I want to know please, if you in the U.S., there are periods of closure, see the ban on fishing for walleye during the period of reproduction?

Each state chooses if they want to have a closed period, usually to accomodate the spawn. Some choose not to close the season, and some only close the season on a few lakes/rivers. Sounds confusing, but the answer varies by state.

And within each state there may be several sub areas with different regulations. In my area on Michigan (upper peninsula) Walleye cannot be fished between March 15 and May 15…to allow for spawning.

I see that the regulation is the same everywhere, here in france, there is a closure period from 15 March to 15 May too. For us it is indeed zander, sorry
