Possible World Record Fish Caught

    Not to brag, but maybe I will……….

    On Opener of 2001, we were on Vermillion, catching walleyes.

    I’m pulling a lindy rig/fat head on 6lb test. We were busting walleyes left and right…….

    Then I hit a brick wall…………After about 15 minutes, I boated a 29lb pike.

    I followed up with the line class world record business. I have it beat by 2.5 times what the current record is for pike on 6lb test.

    But the rigamarow that a person has to go through to certify it, wasn’t worth it. I’m just happy with the fish.

    I have my doubts if the Fireline will test out at 4 lbs or less. I had to double check, but they really do make a 4 lb. test fireline.
