Going to this site, I was looking for a Fishfinders and GPS. Can someone tell me if there is a difference between a lowrance lms 520 c and a eagle fish elite 500?
It seems to me that they are identical! I further order from home.

One quick thing I noticed is the difference in screen resolution (clarity) with Lowrance being higher. I was always told that Lowrance owns Eagle and uses less quality internal components. Don’t actually know if this is true. Someone else will have to fill you in on that.

Can’t speak to the differences between these specific units, but Lowrance does make both the Lowrance and Eagle units. The Lowrance units are typically the higher end models with more capabilities.

I use a basic Eagle unit that I like (Fish Mark 320). In general, the Lowrance units are highly recommended.

I will make sure that Wade see this post. He is the owner of Jolly Ann Marine, and is IDO’s electronics specialist.

One thin I noticed from a Eagle to a Lowrance is that the Eagle menu system is a lot easier to operate. The Lowrance has a more complicated menu and it seems that you can’t ever find what you are looking for. I have a Eagle 600c that works grate and is very easy to operate. The only thing is, I wish I would of got the 602c with GPS. O well live and learn.

I had the same question. If you review things you will find the Lowrance has a few more features and the screen resolution is a bit better.

I went with the 520 and really like it. Prices have come down a bit as Lowrance has come out with its HDS units.
