2004 Johnson 150hp lower unit

    Can anyone tell me how much gearlube I’ll need on hand to change the lube in the lower unit of a 2004 Johnson 150hp?
    Not my boat but owner has never changed lube/crankcase plugs/fuel filter. I said I’d help. Thanx

    I dont know the exact amount but keep putting it in until it comes out the vent hole.

    34 oz. A quart is 32 oz, so you will need slightly more.
    Don’t forget to replace the drain washers also.
