Lindy Tackle leaving Brainerd

I was looking through the Brainerd Dispatch website and read that Lindy tackle, with the exception of their figure-heads like Takasaki, is leaving Brainerd. This was 14 months after Pradco purchased them and said there would be no changes.

This is another tough blow for an already shrinking and limping fishing industry, along with a bad blow for Brainerd.

To the Pradco HQ in Arkansas. Only a few department heads will be left in Brainerd. A lot of lost jobs in shipping, etc.

It’s sad to see an area like this hit by more loss of jobs. However, as soon as any company takes over another, no matter what they say, change is coming. Companies are not required to have integrity any longer. Why lie?? The “it’s the way business is done” doesn’t cut it for me.

Man can I relate!!…I live in Newton Iowa where as most of you know was the home of Maytag. We got the same song and dance…but no matter how you break it down, if you are on the purchased end of a transaction, you might as well start looking…

Pradco just built a 21 million dollar facility down in Arkansas to combine all there new and old products. sounds
like good business practice to me. If you lived in Arkansas
and just got hired you would think its a good thing. those are small communities that need jobs down there to.
if you work for someone always be prepared to find another job because nothings forever in business get used to it. Nobody goes into business to lose money. ask ted t. he’s the president or was of lindy

I think they are the ones that purchased Knight Muzzleloader close to my location and it is no longer located here.

It blows because I knew a few people that worked there and could get some great deals with their discount!!

Hey Bigroy, They haven’t built the new facility as of yet. They were scheduled to break ground down in Fort Smith last fall, but have decided to wait. Ted was the President when PRADCO/EBSCO bought Lindy, but has stepped down to be a Lindy/PRADCO representative. With this move, Ted will still remain in his same position.
