So two of Gabbi’s least favorite people are gone, I think that has to get him thinking about coming back. Not saying its GOING to happen, but you know it won’t hurt. ( heck I’m not even saying I want him back.)

Maybe Kevin McHale would like to coach the WILD…

Well, well, well this will be interesting. Looks like the new guy wants to put his personal stamp on things.

Must have heard the grumblings of the “team of 18,000” and wanted to make a preemptive strike. Just hope he doesn’t cave and sign Gaborik.

Yah’…Why would we want to sign a guy that averaged just below a goal a game when he came back from his injury? Less offense…More defense!!! RR

Maybe because he only plays when he feels like it? There is no debate that he is an elite player. The question remains is he dedicated to the team effort or to padding stats? Would he have returned to play if he already was signed to a contract for next year?

I don’t argue his ability. But his desire is something else.

Yes lets pay top dollar to an “elite” player who over the last 2 years wasnt even healthy enough to take part in 1 season worth of games. that being said im glad both the coach and gm are gone just hope its not like the phrase “be carefull what you wish you just might get it carefull what you wish may regret it”.

I don’t believe that he was actually “fired”. I think his contract was up and Loepold decided he would not offer him an extension.

I hope the new owner will be leading the Wild in a better direction. This makes me wonder exactly what drove Lemaire to retire.

Either way, it was time for change. Time will tell…

Biggill, I was thinking the same thing. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall of Leipold’s office for the last month.

Not being resigned equates to being let go, which is a lot like be fired. Sounds like the owner had his mind made up a month ago according to the radio.

Time to sign talent and play a more exciting brand of hockey.
