    I want to buy a 12volt/45 watt fridge. How long will it last on my battery?

    I dont have the formulas but my guess would be more than 60 hours. Probably over a hundred.

    Based on the 12 volts and 45 watts, your draw or Amps is 3.75

    Thats what I based it on too. Then divided into 225 but that is for a current draw of 25 amps so I suspect the fridge will last considerably longer.

    It’s been a long time since I walked across the stage at Wisconsin School of Electronics. But here’s my hip shot at it.

    wattage / voltage = current [45W/12V = 3.75A per hour]
    time = AH / A [130AH / 3.75A = 34 hrs

    A 12Vdc marine grade battery rated at 130 amp hours will provide adequate power for a 45 watt load for no more than 34 hours. Discharge rate is not linear as it will be affected by a multitude of variables including load cycle. I would not count on getting a full 34 hours. More likely 28 to 30 hours.
