Chew On This: Goliath Grouper

    These guides have a couple of episodes where they are catching the Goliath Grouper, this one is probably the best I have seen so far. The action starts at about the 12:00 minute mark.

    They are some awesome fish. All the deep sea stuff we’ve done, that is one species that I’ve yet to chase. I’ll get there though. It looks like an awesome experience.

    YeHaa!!! I just signed up to go Grouper fishing in the Gulf 4/23. These are not the Goliath Grouper, but Red and Black Grouper. I broke off on a grouper earlier in December with 50# line. They get down in their rock hideaways and you cannot pull them out. You can visit the charter captains sight at http://www.sanitariumcharters.net Since moving to Florida about 8 months ago I have had little FIX. I still own a cabin in the Pepin county area of Wisconsin and will be on the river again this July chasing Walleye. But Man I need a fix.

    Even the 30# groupers put on a butt woopin. Cant imagine hookin into a Goliath. Make sure and dive us a report from your trip lucky. I got out a few weeks back out of Daytona and it was a blast.
