At my suggestion, I meet a couple of nice huys from Rochester who are buying my Lund Angler After going through everything,…I back it down at the Lake Byllesby County Park landing and launch it. It hasn’t been in the water this spring so was glad to have it start right away. I start backing out and went right into a off shore gravel bar. I ended up having to get out and wade it out to deeper water. I raise the motor,…sure enough,…bent the prop,…not much but it clearly will have to be fixed. Ugh.

We head down the lake,…cautiously. I see a stick in the water ahead and just in time realize that its not bobbing,..we coast right into another gravel bar. This time we were able to back off.

I gave them my spare $100 from my wallet to fix the bent prop,…ironically,…in 5 minutes I put more scratches on the bottom of the boat and motor than in the last 5 years. Those guys must still be shaking their heads.

So,…I take the high road suggesting a water trial to make sure everything works and to make sure they know how to run it and it costs me $100. My Life in Action.
