I have a Swivel-Eze brand post and base for the center seat in my boat, and whenever I put the center seat in, I can’t get the post to come back out without taking the base back out and knocking it off with a hammer. I know this post should not be that hard to take out of the base. I like to take that seat out when I don’t have three fishing in the boat, but the post sticking makes it very difficult. I clean both the post and the base when I put them in, but they still stick. Do any of you guys have a remedy that will make it easier to get them apart. Thanks.

the front deck base on my boat can be sticky, so i just put a very light coat of grease on the bottom of each seat post. that cured it for me.

I spray mine with silicone a couple times a year. Sure beats having to fight with them when you want to move or remove them.

Use emery cloth and sand your post a little smaller.
