A few Big Stone Questions

    I am heading to Big Stone for the Opener and I was wondering if anyone could give me some good advise on were to start and what works best for the early season out there..I’m also wondering what the Ice Conditions are out there.. Thanks for the advise…

    If the ice isn’t gone by the end of this weekend it will be by next weekend. Usually most people fish the northern third of the lake since it is shallower and warmer. Trolling, casting and bobbers will all usually catch fish. The best fishing is usually around the inland opener.

    The ice isnt going out this weekend. I HOPE it goes out next weekend. shallow water fishing works early, throwing small jigs or plugs in 2 fow.

    I asked this question quite a few years ago, to a co-worker who was an avid Big Stone guy. He said, go right by the Big Stones…… on the East shoreline……
