I have a portable dish washer and I would like to not have to wheel it to the sink on every load.. I need to add two feet of hose to reach the sink.. can this be done? has anyone done it?

how about some help from all you knowledgeable folks.. remember I am dangerous with a ratchet set.., meaning I look good but am not handy andy.. at least with tools..

Not sure if this would work or not but what about just splicing in a longer section of hose with some hose clamps.

I also extended my dishwasher. My wife was having problems reaching the bottom of the sink, so I pulled out the stepstool my daughter used in the bathroom when she brushed her teeth. Peeled the various Dora the Explorer and Batman stickers off, and even painted it to match the kitchen cabinets. Cheap, easy solution to a problem in our house!

Pockets, I was thinking a pair of high heels might be enough.

I am guessing, the dishwasher has a cupped end that you slip over the faucet….? I would think like Mike said, cut the hose more towards the back of the dishwasher and put a couple “splices” (see pic) in it with 4 hose clamps.

You where a very thoughtful husband for doing that. Way to go. Hope she cooked you a big dinner for thinking of her.

how high pressure is this hose? I see that the connections are really put on…. and will it affect the pressure of the dish washer? or does the dish washer “store the water it uses”? I am trying not to screw things up.. once you cut the hose it doesn’t grow back.. at least I don’t think so..

I believe, with most portable dishwashers, the force that it comes out of your faucet, is all the pressure, that would be in the inlet hose, so not much. Do you just slip the business end of the hose over a faucet ? If yes, splice in a piece as long as you would like.
