I’m a big Twins fan. Although I haven’t been to the dome since 1986 and I intend to keep that streak alive this year also.

Baker on the DL at this time of year is not a huge concern. What people tend to forget is this isn’t football. It’s a 162 game season and Baker will be back soon. As long as everybody is healthy and ready to go by May 1 things will be OK.

The last Dome Home Opener I’ll be there!

I’m actually more excited to see Liriano pitch the opener, but hope Baker’s injury is minor and that he’s back in the rotation in a couple of weeks.

    GO TWINS!

Is the Kid back and healthy?? Ready to be the knock out starter we saw two years ago?? I’m not ready for baseball yet, still got ice fishing on my mind.

I’m not too concerned about Baker’s injury. I think more than anything by putting Baker on the DL it gives the Twins time to figure out who they want to keep between Dickey and Humber. It was mentioned that we are going to start they season with an extra relief pitcher because of a lot of games in the first two weeks of the season. This coincides nicely with Baker’s DL stint in that when he comes off they can get rid of who is doing worse between Dickey and Humber.

It will be interesting what happens between Tolbert and Harris when the time comes to make that decision. Gardy wants to have an extra infielder on the team and GM Bill Smith prefers not to.

If they want my vote, I’ll take Tolbert. I think he has the ability to play alot of positions, incluing shortstop if Punto gets hurt or falters. Harris is good, but I would take Tolbert.
