Extra money, Got a paying full time job for my wife??? (seriously pm me job suggestions if you have any)

Job market is brutal, where a one income house for the last year, there really is no such thing as extra money.

Though I had a enough to splurge on a 32 HDTv That’ll be my splurge budget for a couple months at this rate

I built a 12′ x 24′ greenhouse along side my garage last year. Bought a load of building materials for a new garage and built that. This spring I built a room addition on the back of my house, bought most of the electrical and some of the plumbing supplies for the whole house and garage. In a month will be buying materials for a new kitchen. Im about ready to build a deck on the front of the house. Found a pontoon boat and trailer down the road that im going to try to buy. Just the pontoons and the framework that holds them together plus the trailer, if its forsale and in my pricerange im going to buy that and build it the way I want it, inwater livewells, its going to be a nice setup. Very little extra money here for the next few months but i’ll manage a new pole and reel.

Sandbar, when was that photo on the Kinni taken? I think I might be in there which bothers me as I’m always stealth! Money? I use my bank’s money, now they don’t have any either. I figure it’s an even playing field now. The extra always goes to…

    Czech,
That pic is actually from the Hudson channel. We were on the first island South of the swing bridge. The water in the upper right is the ski bay.

Investing. Now is the time to buy. When the markets come back, I’m going to be a very happy man. Even if it comes back to 1/2 what it once was.

Of course I want a new boat, so I am diverting some monies into an account for that purchase.

I did also just buy a house at what I think was a very good deal. No fire sale by any means, but a good deal none the less.

I’ve done this all on my own! Ive read lots of money books to get my brain in the game and then what really helped me focus was warren buffets bio. the more you research the better your decisions will be. i cant afford to loose or thats what i tell myself. i go long on them based on what my research tells me

i actually got a scottrade acocunt years ago. probally had it for a year before i bought in. the first time i bought in was with my overtime money that i got for working. figured id invest that and get a motorcycle with it when it matured. since then ive changed my mind and want my snow ball to grow BIG. My goal is to convert my income to investments whether its stocks or 401 stuff. im a newb im still learning

What extra money??? Gas for fishing and buying fishing items are a normal bill that MUST be paid weekly.
    Thanks, Bill

Well let’s see. Bought a 4 wheeler with plow in December,a new X-27c 3-4 weeks ago, a 2007 Chevy Silverado crew cab 3 weeks ago, and now just bought Gordy’s autoglass installation business in Hastings,MN. So I’m doing my part to “simulate the economy” Need a windshield? Give us a call 651-480-0404.

I sold my 24′ “Homemade” ice house to down-size. Well, this deal was a “MUST PURCHASE” and I had to spend the “Extra” money I had from selling my ice house on purchasing this larger ice house!! It was pretty much an even deal!!

I’ve heard that he who dies with money in the bank is a failure. So I’m stimulating the economy by spending my children’s inheritance.

Like I tell my parents… if I want something I’ll buy it myself. Spend your own dang money before you’re too old to enjoy it.

My kids can count on the same general philosophy applied in reverse.

James you sound like my Dad. He always says, “If I have any money left when I die, it was poor planning on my part”
