Jotted this down from an article couple of years back. What’s everybody think? Yeah or Neah.

Rule of thumb for fish weights of various body types.

Pike (length X length X length) divided by 3500

Walleye (length X length X length) divided by 2700

Bass (length X length X length) divided by 1600

Bluegill (length X length X length) divided by 1200

All of these will result in reasonable approximations.

I think you can pick up a scale that will read those fish weights more accurately at Everts for about $20. Less with good cookies.

    girth x girth x length / 800

I’m not sure Bos…Real Men don’t tape cats…we go by pounds.

There is a cat calculator out there…I’ll see if I can find the guy with the white rod and the tape measure to post it here.

The only true scale we use in our club is a Chatillion. They must be re – calibrated yearly. We have 0 – 12#, 0 -25#, and 0 – 50#. We have a member we get the scales from that resets them at no – charge. they are extremely accurate. The club is (walleyes unlimited usa.)
