This was our big fish from past weekend, tough bite as was for most people on pool 4.

This pic was taken right in front of where it was caught (we were anchored, spent all day looking for fish and finally found some-heck, we would have grilled the thing in the boat and ate the eggs as caviar before moving from this spot!) Basically, we wanted to get the fish back ASAP, so the idea of sitting down low in the boat and having the camera man standing worked great–no shoreline in the picture!

BTW, fish was caught on a 1/8oz knuckleballjigminnowcomboanchoredwitha1/4ozfiretigerbladebait3wayedonaDubuquerig-withaspecialkgrubfollowedbyaoystercoloredringiehookedonthebacktrebleofaF7firetigerrapala.

It is a special order bait, but yes Dean does have it in stock.
It was a BK-Strickland special which they guaranteed would catch fish, right in line with the great deal BK was running on minnows.

Net angled toward the port side, bike seat extended halfway, distinctive splash marks on the floor, angler dressed in camo on the top half, the boat has gray carpet…… There is much to be learned from this photo !

    Nice fish guys!

Nice fish Doc did you get it where I told you to try? Looks like an Alma fish to me! Kind of looks like clean water like they have down in Alma, or so I hear. But that is not where I told you about? Also it looks like a heavy current fish as it has no belly. I’m sure it has been working out!
Doc did you see any snakes while fishing?

Oh yes there is…. all of which can be glassed “BINOCS” from a distance with no problems…

Not mention the Blue paint scrapes on the butt seat mast along with a couple noticeable scratches.

You are also wearing wire rimmed prescription glasses and most of your teeth seem to be in tack…

Along with the Cammo hat you have Matching cammo gloves with a black fingertip “pointer”. Also it looks like Guide Wear Bibs in olive green with black knees. You are also using a white anchor rope.

Not sure if thats a Motor-Guide TM or not but it doesn’t matter its mounted on the starboard side in close aproximation of that Cabalas/Ram style Rod holder.

Your spot may be safe for now but you sir and that rig are very indentfiable!

    Remember somebody is always watching…..

just what i was thinking…i now know another boat to look for. the gps may be getting some new waypoints soon enough…

the funny thing though is, i am always on the lookout on the river for certain boats that have posted up pigs, because we all know you will return to those spots…

Let’s just say there are alot of green Lunds out there but ya slap some silly sticker that says “Team Redneck” on one and you sure stand out. I don’t have any big fish spots but without that sticker and the boy in the front I am sure inconspicuous now
Nice fish Doc—I heard ya got it on Bay City Flats pulling leadcore

Yup, casting out my leadcore setup from an anchored position quartering downstream at a 45 degree angle-have to reel really fast to keep that setup off the bottom in 3FOW.
Have to 2nd the blaze orange hat.

That does it, the blaze orange comes off for the weekend.
At my age it is getting rougher and rougher to run the troller and catch fish. I can’t help it if someone put that tree in my way I guess the good part was at least I was catching a fish
You are behind the times Doc, I retired the hat but the coat is—or should I say was—still in use

I know Scott Stiel was saying when he and other PWT’ers are pre-fishing they are in total stealth mode. They never stand up or move especially when catching fish.

Are you guys just fooling around or are you being this serious about pictures, examining boats, people?? I personally hope you are just fooling around. If not, it’s a bit disturbing. Almost stalker like.

Not that I haven’t taken note when I see Dustin fishing a spot that I’ve never fished before, but to examine each big fish photo posted here creeps me out a bit. I thought fishing was for fun???
