deep cycle batteries

I was online comparing deep cycle batteries today and the selection was stunning. I was wondering what brand everybody uses in their boats.
Some of the batteries were pushing $275.00 each. Does anybody use the high dollar batteries and are they worth the extra cost?

I’ve had Trojan group 27’s for 2 years and they have been great. I’d have a difficult time justifing high dollar batteries.

hi Gator, I’ve been using the no. 27’s from Batterys Plus. price is resonable, and also has a pretty good warranty. any brand you are looking at, do check the full replacement no cost period, they all vary. good luck. Jack.

I’ve been running the Trojan SCS225s for a couple years now and if they ever go, they will be replaced with another set of the same. I have gone 3 days fishing fairly hard, long days without a need to charge. One of the best purchases I have ever made for the boat.
