i stopped in there on friday. there are not even that good of deals right now, in fact there are a lot of “sale” items that are the regular price at competitors stores…

people hear the word Sale and come running…

No one can be the cheapest on everything but for muskie gear and lures, this was my “go to” shop and I’m going to miss them being around. I also liked them for hunting accessories and most of the ammo I purchase was better priced than Gander, Cabela’s, or Bass Pro. I’ll miss them greatly.

I noticed the store near Green Bay is on the cut list and another in Oklahoma that I passed by is closing too. Is there a list of stores that are staying open? In my travels, I’d like to see this chain return. They’ve also been the best priced chain on guns, in most cases. Margins are competitive and tight in firearms but I’ve seen $20-$70 differences…..pretty significant in terms of new guns not on sale.

Sure hope they make a comeback…..

I was in the Coon Rapids store on Friday and found a few good deals. I picked up some sinkers and boat accessories. Most of the Rapala’s and popular components are gone. The line was pretty picked through as well. They still had a ton of other crankbaits, plastics, and ice jigs. I have to time it to get in there after the next price drop. I got some great deals a couple days before 2 stores in WI closed 2 years ago.

    Bigfife,
Keep checking in on the Coon Rapids store, I hear that that store is still getting shipments from other closing stores.
I cleaned out some of their plastics and as was heading out I ran into a friend that works there, he told me that more of what I bought was coming in soon.
