lake pepin ice conditions

    Can anyone tell me if all the ice is off Lake Pepin? I went down to the start on sunday afternoon and she looked pretty open with 3 footers rolling in!

    I am pretty sure that I heard today that the first barge left Alma, tried to check KTTC website but couldn’t find it..

    first barge went past evert’s at 10:30 this afternoon. Sounded like it broke about a foot of ice most of the way. With the rain and wind today and tomorrow it shouldnt take long to clear a lot of it out. Beware down river of the lake for ice chunks coming down

    Between the tow breaking through and the wind, the lake is wide open.
