How do you sleep?

I’m having some arm/shoulder issues the last 3-4 years and the only thing I can point to is that I sleep on my side. As I get older, do I need to adjust to a new position?

Talk to Bone Mover. I bet he knows what is best. My chiro has me sleep on my back with a special pillow. I thought the pillow was a gimmick, until I forgot it in SD a couple weeks back. Been having issues ever since. Went and got a replacement two days ago and an adjustment, back to normal.

Kooty, the sleep number 45 also happens to be the caliber of the semi auto under my pillow! So a word of warning, beware of the Glock, sucker!

I will be sure to lock my door on the Sturgeon Excurion. I don’t need to wake up to Kooty spooning me…or worse

    Kooty:

Is this the special pillow you are referring to?

My question is do you have to inflate it?

You’ve met Sharon?? She’s our 3rd boat partner for the opener tourney each year. She never catches a fish, but gets lots of looks.

I have seen posts where you refer to her on a number of occasions, but never realized she might be an ‘air head!

The funny part is watching Grow argue with her. I can’t ever tell who wins.

    Sorry Eric…

Cougareye, google “shoulder bursitis” or “rotator cuff”… you may find the source of your troubles. Finding the exact position to sleep without pain has almost become a science for me.

Multitude of pillows and mattresses out there, unfortunately lots of trial and error involved to find what works for you. Like Kooty eluded to, find one that works and it can be golden. Even though the answer to your question could be quite simple and relatively inexpensive, really no way to know without a proper phyical examination–to many things (i.e. shoulder, neck, midback, etc.) that can cause the festering hurt during the night.

Reminds me of that ancient warning, “Beware of Geeks baring gifts!”

Hi, Get a contour pillow but make sure it is the right thickness. Too thick will give you neck aches. Just right will take care of your problem. I have three of them. One is perfect, one is o.k. and the thickest one is too much some of the time. You can buy them cheaper without going to a chiropractor. Trust me!

I second the contour pillow.Really helps take the pressure off the shoulders from sleeping on the side.
