Picked up 2 LX-5’s for $275 each at the sports show last night for my buddy and I! My wife’s not too impressed, but I’ll deal with a little heat for that kind of a deal. I think they are sold out, but I want to thank James for giving us a heads up here on IDO yesterday. Man I love this site!

Awesome to hear! MarCum sure knows how to break the ice as a first time exhibitor at the Northwest Sports Show. I can all but guarantee you’ll NEVER see those prices again. Ever.

    Congrats!

Just goes to show how overpriced flashers are when they can sell em for half-price and still make a nice profit.

I can guarantee you no one made much of a profit on these units. I know what dealers and distributors pay… and it is more than $299. Reference the conversation with Reeds in the other post about these units at the show. The guy at Reeds said anyone selling LX5’s for $299 would have to be crazy.

Or it would have to be a promo where profit was not the goal.

This was a promotional deal that you’re not likely to ever see again. I’m sure they were sold at MarCum’s cost as a promotion for this event.

As for the normal retail… with every item sold at retail you’re going to see markups from manufacturer to distributor and from distributor to retailer and retailer to consumer.

My guess is the guys that landed one of these units… they thought the pricing was dang cool.

I agree with you james me as a retailer can’t buy them for less than $400.00.I wish i could of made it to the show to buy all they had.

Run up there and grab some Dean. Get one for me too. I’d like to buy one for my Dad.

    Tritto.

No one should be left confused. The markup on electronics for the end retailer is minimal. The price found at the show was WAY less than distribution cost, or even wholesale. WAY less. Congrats to those that got in on the deal.

I realize i am asking alot but if anyone happens to pick up an extra of either the lx-5 although it sounds like they are out, or the lx-3tc i would be willing to cover the entry fee to the event. Thank you! Cell number should be in my bio
