I had no idea that anyone did guided trips on pool 2? It was a good show.

Steve DeZurik is an incredibly successful guide on P-2 …The Grizz can show up just about anywhere…I’ve seen him on P-4 a few times.

I’m not too impressed with the Griz. Everytime I see him he’s guiding people and they’re in a community hole, doing what everyone else is doing.Out of a Johnboat.

he knows more about fish and fishing than you will ever know in eight lifetimes! He may fish with the masses but there is a reason and i bet he is catching more fish than them too.

I’m just sayin’…..He maybe does catch more than I do…..That’s fine. And he should. After all he is a guide! I’m just sayin, That if I’m payin $100, I don’t want to do something I know how to do already in a jonboat in a community hole!

    There’s alot of people I ‘m not impressed with…..Stuart!

Talk about giving away hot spots on the river. Im going to laugh twice as hard the next time I hear the Griz talk about us computer guys giving up locations on the river.

Those where some nice fish they caught. I do like larry new angle on local fishing shows.

Love him or hate him, I have a lot of respect for the guy. 365 day a year fishing guide. Bound to see him out there. If he is in a community hole, he probably has customers who want some meat. Want big fish, I’m sure he does his best to put you on them. Those are the days you don’t see him on the water, only see his truck at the ramp.

I agree…My fishing partner fished Winnebago and those southern pools with him. He has nothing but admiration for the Grizz.
Met him two years ago and just seemed like one of the good ol straight forward fishing types you find BSing in the bait shop. A no nonsense guy that knows his stuff about Walleyes.

Where is that post where Dezee and others were publishing waypoints for big fish on Pool 2?? We all know it’s true cuz the Griz said so on the radio.

I was on the water with the Griz a couple seasons back. We were basically in a community spot on the river with about 60 other boats. Just like Michael Jordan plays on the same court and with the same basketball as the “other” guys, the Griz put on a clinic of how boat control, presentation, and speed can make all the difference in the world. The water level had dropped the day before, and all those other boats were still fishing like the walleyes were on fire (as they were before the level change). The Griz moved us in and out of all these 60 other boats throughout the day. We caught about 70 fish. I saw maybe 6 fish pulled in by all of the other boats-combined that day. I second g chief dmeyer’s reply. There isn’t a lot of bullshitting with the Griz. He’ll tell you what he thinks if asked about techniques, or fishing related politics(don’t bring up Mille Lacs netting permissions), and a remind you to keep his boat clean (no seeds in his boat!) Have a good season Chappy.
