Checks in the mail

    I work for the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and just got word that all veterans who are receiving compensation, Non-service connected pension or will be receiving a one time payment of $250. This is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment act. People who are on railroad retirement and Social Security will also be receiving the $250. Being a veterans advocate i am all for it. Being a conservative i will keep my comments to myself . I hope this money helps those who truly need it

    the checks should start comming sometime in may. It will be a seperate check from the compensation / non service connected pension or DIC check. You will get you normal payment and then get an additional check. If anyone wants a copy of the letter i can e-mail it to them just PM me.
