    Have the crappies moved in yet? A lot of people fishing there right now.

    Sure, but if it is a zoo with people, you are probably too late to catch more than a few. If I were you I would setup a beer and hotdog stand though. Make some side cash.

    I’ve tried that bite a couple times in years past. For crappies there are better lakes in the area and better lakes between the metro and Mille Lacs also. I like the idea of the hotdog stand though.

    They haven’t moved in yet. They’ve been there all year.

    They’ll go in streaks but the warm weather really gets em going. There was a pretty decent bite two weeks ago. Some people really got em and others did Ok. The best is yet to come though. Most people stop fishing but the late ice bite can be excellent.

    Crowded? yes, it can be.
    Are there better places to catch more? Yes, plenty of lakes.
    Is it one of the best places to catch 2 ½ maybe 3 pounder? most defiantly
