That is a fantastic way to look at things.. I’ve always been a kinda guy that looks at the glass half full…I thank God for every day I wake up.. and for the things I DO have in my life…

our trials and struggles build our character and makes us who we are. our true selves will shine through in a time of need. I am in a struggle right now, with a small light at the end of the tunnel, but I remember that God is in control and has had our lives already planed out before we where even born, that light becomse the sun in my tunnel. when I am feeling in a funk like yours, I always go to be and thanks the Lord for one thing that happened to me during that day. it is a nice way to go to bed, and then thanks the Lord again in the morning that I woke up and I still have wife and kids.

Kooty, I know what you mean. Yesterday we buried my 103 year old grandfather. He lived a lifetime and a half! When he passed he was the oldest registered trapper in the US!! He was out last fall with my aunt and uncle (who took care of him) hunting and trapping. He died of natural causes as it should be. My point is…I should be so lucky! And I hope to pass what I learned from him down to my kids and hope that they see that as being so lucky. And grateful I had the opportunity to spend with him for 49 of of those 103 years. Him, along with my dad (who is battling esophageal cancer) and mother (she just passed away a year ago from ovarian cancer at age 66 ) showed me the ways of he woods and how to be a conservationist. My grandfather was truly a legend because he grew up in a small cabin with no technology and endured the hardships of technology. I’m not so sure that technology actually makes you live longer? Maybe walking thru the woods everyday and lugging traps and a couple beaver, do?

I digress…I’m just thankful and very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have known him.
