Questions about propane conversion in newer pickup

    Looking at a municapal owned Ford truck with 5.4 motor that has a propane conversion on it. The truck will run on unleaded also but was just curious about the propane. Any info will be helpfull thanks.

    As long as you can start it on gas it should be good. Start hard in cold weather on propane.

    I had a freind with one in his truck and I remember that you couldn’t tell the difference in the performance. It also went a long ways between fill ups. I think he had a tank that held 100 lbs. I don’t remember the MPG, but at the time he said it was cheaper than useing gas per mile. That was 15 years ago.
