I have a commercial building that has approximately 1,000 square feet of retail space. I’m having a hard time securing a tenant so I thought maybe I would open some sort of store. I’m looking for idea’s!!

It needs to be something that would be unique, items that are not carried by WalMart, Target, Cabela’s any of the big box retailers. Ideally something small enough that a mail order / Internet business could be developed. Something that could be shipped either through the post office or maybe UPS.

I even would be open to some sort of partnership if somebody has a product.

At this point I’m exploring all and any possibilities so I thought I would throw it out here and see what happens.

B-fish-N Outlet store where everything is half price oir less That would last just long enough to run everyone broke.

The consignment shops do very well around here with the ebay listing service. Becarefull though if you seriously look at that. There is a new law that has, or will go into effect. It will require all kids toys and clothing tested for lead. Very costly and I heard it will put a lot of consignment shop out of business

Paintball, skateboards, and specialty apparel for both. That is of course you can put up with the kids.

Homebrew supply stores seem to be a popular outlet where people spend lots of money. Especiallyif you like drinking suds!

I’ve always wanted to make a mini-fishing course. Like Mini-Golf but for fishing. A way to hone your casting, flippin’ pitchin’ skills indoors during the winter with a bunch of targets/obstacles etc.

Great idea although I don’t know what people would pay. I’m thinking I’d gross about .38 a day.

If anybody makes and sells tackle or rods I’d be interested in knowing what the mark up on the product is to the retailer.

Are they making 40%? 50%? more?

Send me a pm, I wouldn’t want that info on the web and I will keep any info confidential.

    Thank you.

    Not a retail idea but…….

You could rent the space out to Chili so he could have a office to get away and really think things out away form Winter Park.

    Assault Rifles, magazines and stocks.

Apparently the business is booming right now.

Our new tenant in the White House has caused the price to soar 40-50% and created a demand that is hard to feed!

    It is absolutely amazing.

I always figured I would couple it with Rod/Reel sales. Kind of a try it before you buy it thing. I also wanted a testing pool but not sure if you could do that in your 1000 sq ft area…

    Strippers & Bullheads.

I don’t think the city would allow Bullheads across the street from the library.
