Funny you should mention that. Ritter should have some pics of an old kevlar vest we shot up yesterday. The results may surprise you.

Then there are some that I won’t name, like Ritter that back out at the last minute.

I think I’m going to put some stink back in his post.

The wife wasn’t going this anyways, we did have a nice dinner, gun range and movie night sunday.

Sucks, there is no one else to work the spot, but it’s a little better with the wife being unemployed currently. I guess God thinks we can use a little extra cash

Sorry I saw this post too late. I have an XDM 9mm I need to shoot for the first time, which brings me to my post for Nick and anyone else who can chime in. I bought this gun for my wife and I. I figured a 9 would be easy, and cheap to shoot. Turns out she can hardly rack the slide, and can’t push the button down that holds the slide back after emptying a mag. The Ruger LCP looks cool, and I know a wheel gun would be a given, but is there an auto any of you would recommend? Her gun is my gun, and I thought visa-versa, but now I get to buy another gun, so that’s cool. I guess I am looking for an auto, but have no qualm’s against a revolver.

I’m sure you all had fun tonight and hope to make the next shoot.

    I wouldn’t know a things of what you’re talking about….

In fact it’s the reasoning behing my wife having the S&W 642, she has a little issue limp wristing the XD and thus far it’s only give her trouble locking open after the last round. She also has issues racking the slide back on the XD, but I really honestly believe it’s more of a just learning how to do it right, and “figure it out” I fail to believe she doesn’t have the strenght to do it, I really think some practice is all they need.

All that being said is a major reason she got the revolver, pull the trigger it’ll go bang 5 times without a problem, I also got the laser grips too, I figure if she only has 5 shots, she should have the best chance possible that they are hits. That is until I can get her 99% on the xd, and teach her to deal with any issues without hesitation.

I was trying the other day to have her “push” the slide open versus pulling it back, we’ve planned on working on this week.
