For the third or fourth time MinnKota has come thruogh for me.
Any of you on P4 Saturday morning know how cold it was.
After putting my trolling motor down and then back up, it froze solid. Unable to re-deploy it, I gave the top end a whack(dumb) and broke the plastic housing( plastic gets brittle when cold. DUH!). So I sent it home with my Unc from Mankato, he took it to MinnKota Monday morning and by 3pm Monday they had it fixed no charge. Now that’s good service!
No wonder they sell so many trolling motors. I know I’ll never run any other brand.

Did they paint the words “do not smack” on it this time?

I bought myself some spray deicer just fot those occasions, It wasn’t until a recent trip that Eric R. reminded me it’s something you should really have when it really cold.

Glad we could help out on saturday so you could finish your day out fishing. That is one thing I dont leave the dock without when its cold out. Just a quick spray on the shaft and where the head goes into the craddle and your good to go. I have noticed that the terrova is much more friendly than the power drive when it comes to cold temps and freezing though.
