Please remember my daughter Lanie in your prayers these next few days. We leave this morning taking her to Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Chicago.
She will be undergoing a radical spinal fusion procedure to correct a very crooked spine from scioliosis. She has cerbral palsy and cannot walk or talk, and has been through so much in her 14 years, but this is absolutely necessary for her survival.
She will be in a lot of pain for a couple weeks after the surgery, so it will be a challenge for her mother and I to “read” her moods and body language and determine what we can do to help. We will be staying in the hospital with her for 7-10 days, then at least a month at home rest.
Thank you so much in advance for your thoughts and prayers! They truely do mean SO much!
John
