I was thinking of getting some flourocarbon to put on my bass rods and was not sure what to get. Any thoughts or opinions would be appriciated

I’ve used P-Line for years. But, it’s a fluorocarbon coated line, it’s not a pure flouro.

I used the vanish transition a lot last summer, seemed to work good. I didn’t have any issues with it and you can’t beat the ultra clear underwater appearance combined with the sensitivity that it has. I used it on spinnerbaits and crankbaits on some of my rods and the feel you have of the lure is nothing short of incredible.

The only thing I was thinking of trying this season is the 100% fluorocarbon Trilene. I’m not sure what the difference is between this and vanish. I did try one time the cabelas brand and it seemed very stiff and hard to use.

    Anybody else care to share?

Is the p-line halo coated, or is it “100%”?

    Halo is 100% flouro.

Cabelas No Vis Extra is being discontinued and I have had really good luck with it in all weather conditions. It is tinted a Hi Vis pink and very visable above water for you guys that like Hi Vis lines for monitoring the action of your jig etc…
I have used 6# at P-4 w/o any complaints…and great luck with it on LBDN also. The 600yd spool was over $40…now is $17.99!

I’ve ben using floro for 2+ years now I think that visious (the cost is good!) in 10-12-15,lb is real good the 17-20,lb is thick like rope I didn’t like it at all,so I use 17-20,lb in 100%floro from Pline.I have used 10-12 from berkley 100%floro the 12 I had no complaits on the 10 after a little use it felt real rough in first couple of feet when I realed it up thru the tip guide in my rod to cast that bothered me so because of the cost I just use visious.

    Good luck Stan

Blue turned me on to the P line CXX premium a couple years ago. Absolutely love the stuff for casting cranks. Spooled up on a baitcaster in the 12-15 pound test. Cast a country mile, baby!
