All of the safety equipment for sure but no one mentioned a drift sock. They are light and compact and have save a lot of fishing days for me.

I didn’t read all of the posts, so if this has been mentioned, sorry…….

I carry a cheap scrub brush – just let it bang around in the splashwell. When a fish bleeds or poops on the carpet, a quick wip, followed by a splash of water and a scrub = no stains. I have light colored carpet in the boat and this really saves a lot of work later on…….

    Great idea.

That must be one heck of a site for other boats to see. My dad uses a laundry detergent bottle. The spout pops right out of those bottles. He does his business than dumps it over the side. Having the cover on it keeps any “left over” drops from getting in the boat.

Hey, it works great. What I find funny is how many guys without thinking try to use the small end!!

    leatherman tool
12″ pc of 12ga jumper wire w/ alligator clips.
crank up self powered led flashlight.
couple of yellow and red wire nuts.
couple of big garbage bags (can use for ponchos or what ever else)
i keep this, plus my other things in a rubbermade tote. throw in the boat and take out every trip rather than loading up the hatches.

Lots of good suggestions I usually opt for a battery pack charger instead of the jumper cables, but I do usually have both.

I also like to have a tool kit, one of those all inclusive kits you can get for around $50, they have a little bit of everything in them.

In a large part it depends where I’m boating, normally I’m not going to be too far from houses, other boats or resorts. My biggest area of concern is always on the river in winter/spring, since I know my TM wouldn’t do much good. to get myself up river.
