30″ 10lbs on March 4 1999 at 2:30 am from shore at the damn in Genoa. It was my birthday on the night of the the third and we had a nice fire going. I was just about as drunk as it gets and thinking about calling it a night, when the rod was almost tugged right out of my hand by that beauty. It was the only thing caught all night, except for a buzz of course. There was a nice picture at Ghelfi’s sports shop in De Soto WI. I am not sure if they still have it around though.

The biggest Walleye I have caught is a 32 incher at the Missouri River at Chamberlain, South Dakota. I think I was 13 years old and its on my wall. I have caught many 27-30 inchers throughout the last five years also.

The two biggest fish caught in our family were caught last year in Canada. The first is the one my 8 year old caught. 26″ beauty. I followed him later that afternoon with a 26.5″.. …that day will be remembered for a very long time..

I have fished long and hard and finally put the 31″ in the boat this summer!!! She was a pig with a huge head. I normally let all my fish over 20 go but it was my first over 30 so now if I get one bigger than 31″ I will replicate

Caught on a tip-up with a 4 1/2 inch shiner. in 10 ft of water towards dusk. Only eye in the lake I think. I’ve fished this lake a ton and talked to many others who claim to have never caught a walleye out of there and it’s a small lake to boot. 27 inch. 8lb 2oz and still swimming I hope. I plan to break that record a few times this spring, now that I’m targeting eyes more than I used too.

My best was a 32 incher. Got her in StPaul fishing from shore on Ross Island. The cast before I got her ended up in a snag, so I thought it was the same deal until the head shook. Got her with a 1/8th oz gumball and a sassy shad. She weighed in at 11.5 lbs. Dont know if Ill ever top that one…

Fishing with Daze I had a 14 pounder break my line, at least that’s what he said it weighed.

32+” 12.37lbs. on a Berkley hand held scale. Caught it on Mille Lacs on Memorial day, 1999. Strangest thing was that she was still full of eggs. She was released. Can’t post a photograph. Didn’t have a digital back then.

30 incher caught on June 12, 2001 while fishing with my dad on Lake McConaughy here in Nebraska. I’ve had a bunch of others that were heavier but I just can’t break that 30 inch mark yet!! I’ll be heading to pool 4 the first week of April to try for a new PB!!

My biggest goes all the way back to 1987, before measurements were popular, 12# 4 oz’s on Lake Sakakawea!

I have the mount so I guess I could measure it but it’s been drying for 22 years.

Got one just under 31 inches last spring on p4. Never got a weight on it! Some of you may have seen me catch it. My yellow lab jumped in and was trying to make a retrieve on it once it surfaced . I know several people said something to me about it while on the river that day and my guess is that one or more of you are on this site. I will try and find the picture of it on a cd. You can even see on the fish where he was trying to grab it

I have a bunch of 28-29″ fish over the past couple of years. Here are photos of a few of them. Don’t usually put a scale to them….just give ’em a smooch before sending them back down. These are a mix of P4 (daytime) and Mille Lacs (nighttime) fish.

Still looking for an honest 30″ walleye. Maybe this year

Somewhere around 11.25 weighed on a Berkley scale. Later found that the scale was weighing a quarter pound light for a 9 pound jug of water calibrated from the lab I worked in. Tried to get length, but fish flopped in while trying to line up on scale on my gunwale. Was going to release it anyway. Fish was caught in pool 4 in April of 2007 and appeared spawned out.

My largest 31″ from a hidden gem lake in northern MN back in 2000. Many in the 30″ range, but can’t hit 32″ yet..
